On Tuesday, July 13, 2010, disaster action team (DAT) volunteers for the American Red Cross Southern Oregon Chapter provided emergency assistance to the couple displaced by the motor home fire that took place early Tuesday morning on Blackwell Road in Central Point.

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. It does this through services that are consistent with its congressional charter and fundamental principles of the International Red Cross Movement.
